I've been working on "Starry Night" as part of the vector contest. It is helpful to know as much about the artist as possible (in this case Van Gogh), and I thought of a ballad I loved many years ago sung by Don McLean, entitled "Vincent." There's a great video on YouTube, with Don's beautiful song in the background and a collage of Van Gogh's wonderful paintings, along with lyrics. It's been most inspirational in helping me to get inside the artist's head a little bit.[link]
I was inspired to draw a musician because of recent events- does that count? That reminds me I might want to share it with the world this unusual piece, as I don't normally attempt to draw famous people that much.
Remind me, and I might just share the link with you.
