Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Past

Wow... so it's been quite awhile since my last journal. All of my recent journals seem to start with that sentence in one form or another for the past year or so... I've just been really side tracked with work and stuff. After staring at dA green for 10 hours a day I kinda wanna just turn off if you can imagine XD

The last journal I wrote was about the bdAy bash! It was seriously one of the most amazing days of my life. I wanted to extend a huge thank you to all that helped me get my fancy birthday shirt for free! You guys rock so hard! You can see me modeling it in this pic!

There are so many journals with details of the event so I wont bore you with yet another one of those. I just wanted to say how blown away I was by meeting all of you. Over a month later and I'm still on a contact high from that night.

Present

There's nothing going on at the moment... I'm still trying to get hold on this full time stuff. Separating work from play can get pretty hard when you've got a $ next to your name. Don't get me wrong, I love being able to help but sometimes you just wanna be normal... ya know? I've also let my art take a backseat to my work and that's gatta stop. It's not even like a normal backseat... it's like I'm the driver of one of those giant buses and my art is at the back of the bus. Poor guy doesn't get to cross the yellow line very often. I've had an idea to help me get past that though. We'll see where that leads.

That reminds me. How do you guys feel about commissions? How much is too much? Do you prefer paying in points or via paypal?

Future

I've recently made some plans to get off the island for a couple of weeks. Gonna go visit `shuttermonkey for his birthday! I'm so excited. I wasn't able to see him last year and it was the first time since we've known each other that I haven't been with him for his special day. I refuse to miss any more, plus it's all hallows eve! Can't turn down haloween shenanigans! So, as you can imagine I'll be in Orlando for the end of October / beginning of November. I'll still be on duty though, so you won't even notice I'm gone! Although with the way things have been recently you probably already think I am DX

How have things been with you lot? Anything interesting happened in the past is currently happening in the present or is going to happen in the future?

1. Awesome journal skin. 2. Yeah being an $ is surely tough and more so at the help desk but I still aspire to it some day but a break would be nice. Frankly I love the da green though id change the shade of green but ive learned ta tune it out. My eyes hardly notice it anymore and im on 6-16 hours a day browsing and what not
