Work Stuff
I can't go into too much detail about work stuff but things they-are-a-changing. There are some subtle changes to the notification centre being tested and other bigger changes happening. 21 days of overwatch just ended and that was an immensely fun project. So creative and inspiring. I'm not sure I'll be able to play the game, but being a part of the release was a blast. Closer to my department, the FAQ's and stuff are in for some tweaks in the future. Updates where needed, rewrites, even a few being removed that are no longer valid. It's a huge project that we've been working on from the start of the year and it'll take some more time to finish, but it'll be worth it.
Personal Stuff
This stuff is the most frightening. Again, I don't want to say much about it because I'm afraid it'll all just fall to the ground around us, but it's a lot of big steps before anything concrete and that scares me. As things start to solidify I'll share more, but for now just keep your fingers crossed. And don't hate me too much for being vague.
Art Stuff
This I'm most excited about because it's underway. Every year I've participated in the Calendar Project Anne has spearheaded. An advent calendar style Skin project that lets artists give back a little something to this amazing community. In recent years it's gotten harder and harder for her to run it as interest has waned and life takes over. I think, however, that this project is vastly under-appreciated and I know it could be great again with the right incentives. I've spoken with her and she's agreed to let me adopt the project. Though I'm sure it will go through a heavy rebrand (as it were), featuring a completely different set of skills that should hopefully relate to more artists. I'm just wondering… is this something you might be interested in? Whether to participate or just to collect? I'm finalising some design adjustments and finishing up the various announcements, but this holiday season should be very exciting if all goes well. I hope to start sending out invitations in the next month or so. I know it seems early but since it's such a large undertaking I'd like to know where I stand early enough so I know whether to employ backups.
In other new…
I've been super stoked for the new #PokemonSun and #PokemonMoon games that were announced. Nintendo has been such a let down this year with the postponement of their new system, the NX, and games like Zelda, it's nice to see so many people rally behind them for at least 1 thing. Hopefully next year they'll blow everyone away, but it's been one disappointment after another with them I'm fully expecting just an average year with nothing game changing like all the rumours are saying. In any case, the new Pokemon games should be a big hit. I'm already excited but having such trouble deciding who my starter should be! I know it'll be either Litten or Rowlet, but I think I'll have to let my gut decide on launch day. Who do you guys think you'll pick? Are you #TeamLitten, #TeamRowlet, or #TeamPopplio ?
