Age of the geek!

June is my Christmas! With #WWDC this week and #E3 next week I'll be geeking out all over the place! It all kicks off today with the Apple keynote. I can't wait to see what all comes out of Cupertino this week. Then directly on its heels is E3! I'm a bit disappointed that Zelda WiiU was pushed back but I look forward to what other surprises Nintendo and the other developers have in store for us.

Ch-ch-changes…

It has been ages since I last wrote a journal… The last one I posted was a feature and the time before was back in January. I really need to do a better job. In that time quite a bit has transpired. We've had to say goodbye to a number of amazing coworkers who are sorely missed. We're also in the midst of rebranding and simplifying. A great way to follow along and see what's coming up next is to view the Timeline. We've got loads of past events on there and you can get a glance at upcoming releases to see where we're headed.

Change is always a bit scary but we're hoping that by being as transparent as possible and providing weekly updates on the subjects it won't be as startling. Feel free to voice your thoughts on the announcement articles, but I implore you to try keep an open mind.

Summer Lovin'

Most of the primetime TV shows have ended or are winding down and we're now in the midst of the off-season summer shows. I'm looking forward to a few of them. Surprisingly I'm super interested in the Netflix shows that have been coming out. I've been slowing chipping away at Daredevil and just finished Sense8 this weekend. OITNB is coming out soon and I soon won't have time to sleep. It used to be that Summer I could catch up on my primetime shows and watch the occasional summer show. Now-a-days though TV is year round. I've got so many promising summer shows there's no reprieve. I really hope that the Netflix formatting becomes the norm. Binge watching a good show is amazing. And no commercials is just heavenly. Could you imagine a season of Hannibal in one day? Glorious! If I could cancel my cable TV I would in a heartbeat. We're pretty backwards here though. You need a basic tv package in order to have internet. I can't even remember the last time I turned on my cable box…

Enough rambling from me… How about you guys? Looking forward to WWDC or E3? How are the changes on site treating you? Any upcoming shows you're interested in? Sound off in the comments!
