I've recently started a project based around getting to know my "friends" through their art. This journal will serve as a portal to collect and display all of the collabs I have finished with various deviants. Newest collabs will be on top, and in each box will convey information I've learned about the artist.
For more information please check out this journal.
This was another one for `ginkgografix's CSS advent calendar project. And again I did the design but my collaber (kelly) did the coding. Kelly and I have been friends for quite some time now so this wasn't so much a getting to know you project as it was just an awesome meld of artistic minds with someone i respect and admire so very much.
It was an extreme pleasure working with Kelly on this skin and I can't wait to do it again!
Anne had an amazing CSS advent calendar thing going on and I just couldn't resist! Everyday up until christmas a new journal skin? How epic is that?! So when she offered to collab with me one on one I just couldn't say no.
I ended up doing the artwork and she did all the amazing coding. It was a relief not to have to worry about coding. But I was also antsy XD I'm not used to not coding my own designs. It was great watching her work though, like a well oiled machine. Really spectacular. I hope to get to do it again someday.
Will is an amazing photographer so I had no doubt when I approached him about the project what it was I wanted to do. I've been dieing to just let loose with photoshop effects and random bursts of colour and I knew I wanted to try my hand at some desktop wallpapers. It being fall when i took on this project I knew I wanted to work with leaves and nature.
Little did I know that he had been wanting to do the same thing for some time so it was like kismet! When I told him what I was looking for, photowise, it was even more epic. I mean his photographs are so good that when I asked him about what I wanted to do he showed me some of his older shots and BAM it was one amazing shot after another. He didn't even need to go out for another photoshoot.
It was truly a pleasure working collaborating with him on this project. His critiques and insight were extremely helpful in the process of these wallpapers and I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I enjoyed working on them.
Dany and I got this collab out pretty quickly. I think we had such a great idea it was hard not to work on it. The greatest challenge we faced was our different time zones. She's waking up as I'm going to sleep and vise-versa so we had to wait for one another. Though I guess 2 days isn't much time to wait.
Personally speaking she's great! From the questions we asked each other you can really tell she thinks deeply. She calls herself a "fool" but I think it's just cause she likes to be "silly". She's really rather bright and interesting which is balanced by her "foolish" side. A side I think we all have in us. Her ties to her family (mother and sister mainly) is really beautiful as well. My mother and I are rather close so I can really relate to that side of her.
She uses art mainly as a hobby, but I think she's got so much more potential. I really hope she never gives up on it. Though I doubt she ever will. There is one thing she said during our time together and it was "Never say Never". I think that really sums up how awesome she is. Her willingness to try will take her really far, no matter what the future holds.

Would like to know how you make the collab application with percentage and all? I often collaborate with artists and this would help me out a lot! Plz let me know.

Well oiled machine -yay! Of course we can collab anytime again. If we will have time for it
