I downloaded my copy of New Leaf shortly after it's digital release and I'm already in love! If you have a Nintendo 3DS and a copy of AC:NL Please add me as a friend so we can trade and all that fun stuff! Unfortunately it was after midnight here so once downloaded I couldn't really do much since all the businesses were closed and the towns folk were asleep. I'm sure I could try time travelling like in earlier versions of the game but I don't want to start getting weeds already! :U 

My town's name is "EUReKA", which it has been ever since the original Gamecube version. One of my favourite TV shows at the time was Eureka which came on the (then) SciFi channel and was about a cute little town full of scientists and a new Sheriff that had to clean up their weekly fiascos. I thought it was fitting at the time and ever since all of my towns across the various incarnations of the game were named after that show. Anyway, my town has Circle Grass which is super happy about! This should mean that I get Star Snow when winter comes in the game. My town fruit is the Pear. And my little city person has blue eyes and is wearing a pink shirt with kitty paw prints, and pink/white stripped socks! It's like the game knows me. o.o
