Edit

Currently investigating an issue with the skin that seems to be adding a word to one of the image URL's. If you install please search for "tophttp" then simply remove the word "top" from before the http and save the skin in order to use the journal correctly.

This was inspired by the Pure and White contest being held on #eCSSited a few weeks ago. Some great results came out of it so I thought I'd add my two cents as well.

Since today is deviantART's birthday and as a gift to all of you everyone has premium member features, which include journal skins, I thought I'd make this available for free. Please install and enjoy! :D

This skin is so easy to use. It's just install and go. The links are located in the header area so just edit the skin and add your own URL's then save. It's set once then forget about it. You can also just remove them all together.

If you keep the links be sure to add a header so that it looks good. The top most header should look like this:
    <h1 class="top">Header goes here</h1>
All the other headers should just be normal <h1> tags.

I'm getting an error with this skin after installing:

CSS Error:
Brackets in values - other than url(http://...), rgb(...), rgba(...) - are disallowed (token: transparent url(tophttp://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/o/2012/220/b/b/319572323_453652_headgrad.png) right top repeat-y)

Please read the artists comments under the deviation. There is an Edit that explains how to bypass it. No matter how many times I update the skin it doesn't seem to fix and can't find a solution. I'm afraid you'll have to remove it manually. :)

You won't be able to use journal skins as a free member. This is a premium membership feature. Learning CSS and HTML is a really big undertaking. You may wish to do like I did when I first started and try tinkering with journal skins so you know what all the different classes do. :)

Oooh, how pretty. i love how it feels so light and airy. You should've called it the 'whipped cream' skin. :la:
