I've been so inspired by the Original Quotes contest that I thought I'd take a stab at it myself! I'm a judge and an admin so I'm perfectly aware that I'm not eligible, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to create!


This is all hand drawn lettering. My first time not using an actual font and adjusting it. Wanted to try something new with text. What do you think?

I think it looks pretty amazing, very ornate. Especially considering you haven't done straight hand-drawn before.

I've been meaning to take a stab at hand-drawn lettering for a little while now... This contest is the perfect opportunity! :D

When you say this is hand drawn, how did you translate it into vector? did you just use line and sharp edges or? BEAUTIFUL!

I sketched it out on paper then took a photo with my phone and brought it into illustrator. Then I just traced my sketch with the pen tool set to a 2point stroke. :D
